Sharma Climbing Madrid

Sharma Climbing Madrid is the largest indoor climbing facility in Spain, a world-class venue conceived and designed by legendary climber Chris Sharma and located in Madrid’s San Blas district. Covering approximately 4,500 square metres, the centre represents the pinnacle of indoor climbing infrastructure in the Iberian Peninsula and is part of a network of Sharma Climbing gyms that also operate in Barcelona and Gavà. The facility features lead and top-rope climbing walls reaching up to 12 metres in height with auto-belay fall-arrest systems ideal for beginners, a vast bouldering area with problems ranging from beginner to advanced difficulty, a full competition-grade boulder wall 30 metres wide with formats mirroring World Cup and Olympic standards, a Kilterboard for interactive adjustable-angle training, a campus board with varied hold types, and two speed-climbing walls officially homologated by the IFSC. Sharma Climbing Madrid also houses a professional gym with cardio and strength equipment, a functional room for yoga and pilates classes, a dedicated children’s climbing area with age-appropriate walls and structured school programmes for children from four years of age, a well-stocked climbing shop, and a bar-restaurant with panoramic views over the climbing hall. The centre is open year-round and regularly hosts national climbing competitions, making it a hub for both recreational climbers and competitive athletes.
