MOTIONGATE Dubai

MOTIONGATE Dubai is the centrepiece of Dubai Parks and Resorts and the largest movie-themed theme park in the Middle East, sprawling across 1.9 million square feet of immersive entertainment space. Located along Sheikh Zayed Road in Jebel Ali, the park opened in December 2016 and is operated by Dubai Parks and Resorts. The park is divided into five themed zones, each inspired by some of Hollywood’s most iconic studios and franchises: Columbia Pictures featuring Ghostbusters, Hotel Transylvania, and The Smurfs; DreamWorks Animation including Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and Madagascar; Lionsgate home to The Hunger Games and John Wick; Smurfs Village; and the central Studio Central boulevard. Across these zones, guests enjoy 27 key rides and attractions including roller coasters, multi-media dark rides, interactive play labs, and 4D flying coasters, as well as roaming character meet-and-greets and live stage performances. MOTIONGATE is family-friendly with dedicated areas for younger children, and is certified as an autism-friendly venue, the first theme park in Dubai to receive this recognition. The park is open year-round with special seasonal events such as Fright Nights in October and festive programming during the winter holidays. It shares the Dubai Parks and Resorts complex with LEGOLAND Dubai and is accessible via public transport, private car, or shuttle from the Dubai Metro red line. Multiple dining outlets, themed retail stores, and birthday party packages are available.
