Founded by Mohamed and Houssam, two passionate advocates of Moroccan cultural heritage, the company was created in direct response to the economic hardships faced by local artisans during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today it has grown into a globally recognized e-commerce platform serving wholesale and retail customers across Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America. The product range is extensive and rooted in the Berber artisan tradition, covering hand-knotted rugs, straw baskets, leather poufs and ottomans, ceramic pottery, decorative lighting, brass tea sets, and woven cushion covers. Each item is made by skilled artisans in Marrakech using organic, eco-friendly materials and time-honored production methods. The company operates under a strict fair-trade philosophy, ensuring that every artisan receives fair compensation for their labor. Marrakeche Crafts is also committed to environmental sustainability, contributing 0.5 percent of revenue to carbon removal through the Stripe Climate initiative.
