The Makers Marrakech

The Makers Marrakech is a concept showroom and artisan studio situated in the industrial Sidi Ghanem district of Marrakech, home to a growing cluster of Moroccan design workshops and creative businesses. Founded as a celebration of craftsmanship and creativity, The Makers is built on the principles of slow fashion, offering a collection of unisex garments featuring intricate hand embroidery, traditional Moroccan zwaq pattern painting, patchwork combinations, and silk-screen printing applied by skilled artisans on natural fabrics. Each piece is designed to be a wearable work of art, transcending seasonal trends and intended to be worn and cherished across years. The showroom also functions as a creative workshop hub, hosting appointment-based artisan sessions where clients can collaborate directly with embroiderers, painters, and printers to personalize garments or create bespoke pieces according to their own design. Workshop activities include hand embroidery with Saida, silk-screen printing with Youness, and traditional zwaq decorative painting with Toufik. Clients may bring their own garments or choose from The Makers’ existing collection. The studio is open by appointment Tuesday through Saturday, fostering a focused and intimate creative environment. The Makers provides a link between international buyers, designers, and the skilled artisans of Marrakech, facilitating custom production for fashion brands and private clients seeking authentic Moroccan craft collaborations.
