Alsatrucs is an artisan collective and retail concept born from a deep pride in Alsatian identity and a desire to support the region’s creative craftspeople. Founded under the umbrella of the Fédération des Métiers d’Art d’Alsace, Alsatrucs brings together around twenty skilled makers whose work spans a remarkable range of disciplines: woodworking and marquetry, ceramics, textile art, glasswork, illustration, and decorative object design. What unifies the collection is its celebration of Alsatian symbolism and tradition — storks, pretzels, kougelhopf molds, vineyard motifs, regional flora and fauna — reimagined with a playful, contemporary touch that makes the objects feel fresh rather than merely folkloric. The boutique at 5 Place du Marché-aux-Cochons-de-Lait in central Strasbourg, steps from the Cathedral, offers visitors a carefully curated retail experience where every product tells a story. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable, often the artisans themselves, and delight in sharing the origins and making processes behind each piece.
