BMSZC – Budapesti Muszaki Szakkepzesi Centrum
Description
BMSZC (Budapesti Muszaki Szakkepzesi Centrum), the Budapest Technical Vocational Training Centre, is one of Hungary’s major multi-school vocational education networks, headquartered in Budapest’s 14th district. The centre brings together 12 prestigious member schools with deep-rooted traditions in technical and scientific education, including institutions dating back to the late 19th century. BMSZC offers a broad array of state-recognised vocational qualification programmes in engineering, IT and software development, network administration, chemical and environmental technology, electronics, automotive mechanics, and applied sciences. The centre’s dual training model emphasises close cooperation with major Hungarian and multinational employers including MOL, Richter Gedeon, IBM, Magyar Telekom, and T-Systems, ensuring that practical workplace training forms an integral component of every study programme. BMSZC students pursue their theoretical studies in the centre’s member schools while spending substantial time in company-based practical training environments, earning vocational employment contracts and remuneration under Hungary’s VET Act of 2019. The centre has been selected for multiple EU-funded development projects under GINOP and RRF programmes to modernise its facilities and expand its national IT competence centre initiative.
