Rigas Tehniska Koledza (Riga Technical College)

Rigas Tehniska Koledza (RTC), Riga Technical College, is a state-funded educational institution established under the supervision of the Latvian Ministry of Education and Science. Offering both secondary vocational education programmes at EQF level 4 and short-cycle vocational higher education programmes at EQF level 5, RTC prepares graduates for professional careers in engineering, electronics, energy and electrical systems, automotive technology, information technology, and road transport management. The college operates from two main campuses in Riga at Braslas street 16 and Ledmanes street 3, serving approximately 1,682 students per year taught by around 140 qualified educators. RTC provides not only initial vocational training for school leavers but also continuing vocational education and professional development courses for adults, including unemployed individuals and workers seeking skill upgrades. The college is accredited by the Latvian Accreditation Centre and maintains partnerships with industry leaders including AirBaltic, Latvenergo, SAF Tehnika, MikroTik, and Aerones Engineering, ensuring a strong connection between classroom learning and practical workplace requirements. RTC also offers competence assessment services for informally acquired professional qualifications.
