Vanity Projects

Vanity Projects is a pioneering luxury nail salon and art space at 99 Chrystie Street, 2nd Floor in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, with a second location in Miami. Founded in 2010, the studio was conceived around the premise of elevating the nail salon within a dialogue rooted in culture and art, becoming one of the first nail studios in the US to incorporate ongoing video art programming as a central in-salon experience. The studio specialises in innovative Japanese gel manicures and high-end nail art, working with sought-after artists through an ongoing Artist-in-Residency program. Services include one-color gel manicures, nail art in multiple complexity tiers, pedicures, and gel removal. A collaboration with Harry Styles’ Pleasing Collection offers 12-free, vegan, cruelty-free options. All Japanese gel is 11-free and dental-grade, curing under LED or UV light. The studio is open daily from 10am to 8pm by appointment only. Vanity Projects also runs the Vanity Projects Institute, offering Beginner and Intermediate professional nail certification programs, accelerated design courses, and in-person masterclasses with JNA-certified Japanese nail artists.
