Description
Le Foodist was founded in 2013 by Fred Pouillot, a former chemical engineer turned passionate chef who trained at the Alain Ducasse Formation center, along with his English wife Amanda. Located in the historic Latin Quarter just minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral, Le Foodist has built a strong reputation for combining authentic French cooking instruction with rich cultural storytelling. Every experience at Le Foodist begins at a local Parisian market such as the Maubert or Monge market, where participants select seasonal produce alongside their chef. Back in the school’s beautiful kitchen, the group prepares a full three-course meal featuring traditional French techniques and flavours, followed by a shared lunch or dinner with matching white and red wines. The school also offers standalone pastry classes in macarons, croissants, chocolate soufflé, crêpes Suzette, and baguette making, as well as wine and cheese pairing experiences and hosted gastronomic dinners. All classes are in English and keep group sizes small to ensure a personalized experience. Le Foodist consistently ranks among the top culinary experiences in Paris on TripAdvisor and Yelp.
