Rutz Restaurant is Berlin’s only three-Michelin-starred restaurant and one of the most highly decorated fine dining establishments in Germany, operating from a historic former wine bar on Chausseestraße in Berlin-Mitte. Chef Marco Müller leads the kitchen with a philosophy that elevates the finest seasonal and regional ingredients through a distinctive, deeply personal cooking style rooted in the landscapes, producers, and terroir of Germany and Northern Europe. Each menu begins conceptually from two flavors — two ingredients of exceptional quality — and builds outward from there, creating dishes of remarkable depth, clarity, and originality. Müller’s cuisine resists easy categorization: it is modern German in spirit but globally aware, technically accomplished but never gratuitous. The restaurant holds both three Michelin stars (continuously since 2020) and a Michelin Green Star for its commitment to sustainability, making it the only three-star restaurant in Germany to hold both distinctions simultaneously. The elegant two-floor dining space retains traces of the wine bar’s origins, lending the space warmth and character. Service is attentive, knowledgeable, and deeply professional.
