Moroccan Culinary Art Museum – MCAM
Description
The Moroccan Culinary Art Museum – MCAM is a unique cultural institution in the heart of Marrakech’s medina, housed in a beautifully restored 18th-century palace with authentic Moroccan architecture. The museum offers an immersive exploration of Morocco’s rich gastronomic heritage through interactive exhibits, live cooking demonstrations, a rooftop restaurant and a traditional tea salon. MCAM organises certified cooking classes led by expert chefs in fully equipped kitchen spaces.
The Premium Cooking Class runs for 90 minutes and includes a hands-on preparation session followed by tasting. Classes focus on iconic Moroccan dishes including tagines, couscous and traditional Moroccan pastries using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The museum is open daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and welcomes families, school groups and individual visitors. Private events, culinary exhibitions and corporate workshops can be organised on request. Tickets and classes can be booked online directly through the museum’s website or via platforms such as GetYourGuide and Viator.
