Asphalt Green

Asphalt Green is one of New York City’s most respected nonprofit sports and fitness organizations, operating two Manhattan campuses and serving tens of thousands of New Yorkers each year. The Upper East Side campus at 555 East 90th Street is home to a 50-meter Olympic-sized competition pool, a smaller warm-water pool ideal for lessons and family swim, a full fitness center, an outdoor FIFA-certified soccer field, an indoor gymnasium, and outdoor basketball courts. For children, Asphalt Green offers some of the most comprehensive youth programming in New York City, spanning infant swim classes, swim lessons for all ages and abilities, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, baseball, flag football, martial arts, water polo, and triathlon training. The nationally ranked AGUA swim team has produced multiple Olympic medalists and collegiate athletes. Summer day camps are available for children throughout the season, and school break Play Days keep kids active during holidays. The organization’s mission extends beyond its paid programs through free community initiatives including the Waterproofing swim program that teaches thousands of public school children to swim each year, free middle school sports leagues, and fitness classes for seniors.
