Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is a world-record-holding marine attraction located on the ground level of The Dubai Mall in Downtown Dubai. Home to over 33,000 living creatures representing more than 140 species including 400 sharks and rays, the aquarium is one of the largest of its kind globally and holds the Guinness World Record for the largest acrylic panel viewing window. Visitors can walk through a spectacular 48-metre, 270-degree underwater tunnel that immerses them in the aquatic world from 11 metres below the surface, surrounded by gliding sharks, graceful rays, and vibrant schools of fish. The adjacent Underwater Zoo showcases three ecological zones: Rainforest, Rocky Shore, and Living Ocean, housing piranhas, playful otters, Gentoo penguins, seahorses, and jellyfish among hundreds of other species. For those seeking a more hands-on experience, the aquarium offers shark dives, glass-bottom boat rides, cage snorkelling, animal feeding sessions, and a behind-the-scenes tour. Educational programmes run year-round for schools and groups, integrating marine conservation and ocean literacy into curriculum-aligned sessions. The attraction is managed by Emaar Entertainment and is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
