Lee Valley VeloPark

Lee Valley VeloPark is one of the most celebrated sports venues in the UK, purpose-built for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and now a permanent legacy facility open to the public year-round. Designed by Hopkins Architects and located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, the VeloPark offers four entirely different cycling experiences under one roof and across its surrounding grounds. The iconic indoor velodrome — a 250-metre banked track built to UCI specifications — hosted track cycling at the 2012 Games and continues to host elite UCI World Cup and World Championship events, as well as public and coached sessions for visitors of all skill levels. Outdoor facilities include a one-mile floodlit road circuit, a purpose-built BMX racing track for all abilities, and five miles of graded mountain bike trails ranging from gentle beginner routes to technical expert terrain. A dedicated VeloStudio features virtual cycling simulators for indoor rides through mountain and forest environments, and the facility includes a fully equipped gym and fitness studio running an extensive programme of fitness classes. Learn to Cycle courses, family cycling sessions, children’s programmes, and performance coaching are available throughout the year. The VeloPark also offers guided tours of the iconic velodrome building, event hosting capabilities for conferences and private functions, and experience gift vouchers. Located five minutes from Stratford station, the venue is accessible by tube, Overground, and DLR, making it one of London’s most convenient major sports destinations.
