The Green Planet Dubai

The Green Planet Dubai is the region’s first and only bio-dome, recreating a living, breathing tropical rainforest ecosystem in the heart of Dubai’s City Walk district. Housed within a striking four-storey glass and steel dome structure, the attraction is home to more than 3,000 species of plants and animals, including exotic birds, reptiles, mammals, insects, and amphibians, all living within a carefully controlled environment that maintains a constant temperature of 24 to 27 degrees Celsius. At the core of the dome stands the world’s largest artificial life-sustaining indoor tree, rising through all four floors and providing habitat for many of the resident species. The visitor journey winds through multiple vertical forest levels, each representing a different layer of the rainforest canopy, from the forest floor teeming with insects and reptiles, through the understorey alive with birds and small mammals, to the canopy level where guests can observe free-flying birds and interact with friendly animals. Signature experiences include the Zookeeper for a Day programme, nocturnal tours after dark, owl and bird encounters, and an animal interaction zone where guests can meet sloths, iguanas, and other fascinating creatures. School trip programmes aligned to curriculum learning are available for all year groups. The venue also features a cafe and nature-themed retail area. Located within City Walk, The Green Planet is open daily from 10am and is easily accessible from central Dubai, making it an ideal educational outing for families, school groups, and nature lovers throughout the year.
