Eurogast Österreich GmbH

Eurogast Österreich GmbH is the umbrella cooperative organisation of 11 independently-owned private Austrian foodservice wholesale companies, operating from 19 locations throughout Austria. Founded in Zams, Tyrol, Eurogast was established to give family-run independent wholesalers the collective purchasing power and logistical infrastructure to compete with large international chains, while every member retains full entrepreneurial independence. Together the network offers professional customers in gastronomy, hotels and institutional catering over 36,000 food and non-food products, delivered from temperature-controlled multi-site warehouses with a fully maintained cold chain. Member companies include long-established family businesses such as Eurogast Grissemann (founded 1886), Sinnesberger and Krug, each with deep regional roots and strong personal customer relationships built over generations. Eurogast Österreich is a member of the European Catering Distributors (ECD) network, providing access to international supplier partnerships and cross-border industry benchmarking. The group generates over 75% of its sales through digital channels via its Best.Friend app. Combined revenues exceeded EUR 500 million in 2022 with over 1,600 employees across all member companies, making it Austria’s most significant independent foodservice wholesale network.
