MASEN (Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy)

MASEN, the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy, is the government institution responsible for driving the development and implementation of large-scale renewable energy projects across Morocco. Headquartered in Rabat, MASEN plays a central role in Morocco’s ambitious energy strategy, targeting 52% renewable capacity in the national electricity mix by 2030. The agency oversees flagship projects including the Noor Ouarzazate Solar Complex, one of the world’s largest concentrated solar power installations. MASEN collaborates with international financing institutions, private developers, and technology partners to plan, procure, finance, and supervise renewable energy infrastructure.
