The Swedish Gift Shop

The Swedish Gift Shop, trading as Touch of Sweden, is a passion project founded by Katrien Philips, a Swedish resident who wanted to make authentic Swedish gifts accessible to buyers outside of Scandinavia. Based in Alingsås in western Sweden, the shop operates entirely online and ships across Europe and beyond. The catalogue is carefully curated around the core symbols and sensibilities of Swedish culture: hand-carved and hand-painted Dala horses from the workshops of Grannas A. Olsson Hemslöjd in Nusnäs, Dalarna, woollen blankets from Klippan Yllefabrik, botanical prints and wall maps featuring Swedish landscapes, and a seasonal selection of Nordic home accessories. The shop also stocks jewellery by Swedish designer AnnaViktoria, whose signature pieces feature reindeer, moose, and Dala horse motifs in sterling silver. Illustrated gift items featuring characters by celebrated Swedish artists Lena Anderson and Sven Nordqvist, including Pettson and Findus, are available for fans of Swedish children’s culture. The store’s FIKA collection celebrates the Swedish coffee break tradition with beautifully designed mugs, trays, and tea towels. All gifts are individually selected to ensure they represent genuine Swedish quality and heritage rather than generic Scandinavian merchandise.
