Resorts World New York City holds the distinction of being New York City’s only land-based gaming facility, located at the Aqueduct Racetrack site in South Ozone Park, Queens, making it accessible from both JFK International Airport and the broader metropolitan area. Operated by Genting, a global gaming and hospitality company, the venue opened in 2011 and has since evolved into a major entertainment destination drawing millions of visitors annually. The gaming floor is one of the largest in the northeastern United States, featuring over 6,500 video lottery terminals including a wide variety of slot-style games, electronic table games, and video poker machines. The venue also houses multiple dining options ranging from casual food courts to fine dining restaurants, a luxury hotel tower offering premium accommodation, and a spa and entertainment spaces. Resorts World New York City operates under a New York State Gaming Commission licence, with all revenues benefiting New York State education funding. The facility is served by the A subway line and the JFK AirTrain, making it one of the most accessible gaming destinations in the region. Resorts World has also applied for one of the three downstate New York commercial casino licences that would allow full table games operations, which would substantially expand the venue’s gaming offering in the coming years.
