Stéphane Tournié – Les Jardins de l’Opéra is a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant located within the beautiful inner courtyard of the Grand Hôtel de l’Opéra, steps from the iconic Place du Capitole in the heart of Toulouse. Chef Stéphane Tournié, who trained with some of the greatest names in French gastronomy including Lucien Vanel, André Daguin, Philippe Legendre at Taillevent, and Christian Constant at Le Crillon, has been at the helm for over twenty years, building a restaurant with a distinctive and deeply personal identity. The cuisine celebrates the finest produce of the South-West with sophistication and warmth, combining land and sea pairings with a characteristic generosity of flavour, seasonal precision, and creative flair. The glazed rotunda dining room, opening onto a flowered and peaceful inner courtyard, provides one of Toulouse’s most enchanting and surprising dining settings. Dishes are often finished tableside — the flambéed crêpe Marie-Louise is a signature theatrical touch — and the truffle menu in winter is exceptional. The wine cellar is extensive and expertly managed.
