Landbrug & Fødevarer is Denmark’s principal agricultural and food industry organization, representing the interests of farmers and food companies across all production sectors. Headquartered in Copenhagen, the organization acts as the voice of Danish agriculture in national and international policy discussions, advocating for conditions that support a competitive, innovative, and sustainable agri-food sector. Landbrug & Fødevarer engages with government, EU institutions, retailers, and civil society to shape agricultural policy, trade regulation, and sustainability frameworks. The organization has developed ambitious goals for reducing the climate footprint of Danish agriculture, including the Food and Agriculture Climate Partnership, which aims to cut sectoral greenhouse gas emissions significantly by 2030. It also works on initiatives related to biodiversity, nutrient management, animal welfare, and the digital transformation of agriculture. Landbrug & Fødevarer provides member services including legal advice, labor market support, economic analysis, and sustainability reporting tools. Through its subsidiary organizations and international partnerships, the organization contributes to the global promotion of Danish agricultural products and sustainable farming models.
