Organic Islands

Organic Islands is a Greek initiative dedicated to promoting organic agriculture and sustainable food systems across the country’s island territories. Based in Heraklion, Crete, the network supports island farmers in adopting certified organic practices and improving the quality and marketability of their products. The network recognizes the unique ecological character of Greek islands and the opportunities they offer for developing high-value organic production rooted in local biodiversity and traditional agricultural knowledge. Organic Islands works to connect farmers with consumers and tourism stakeholders, creating short supply chains that benefit producers and local economies alike.
