Grey Noise Gallery
Description
Grey Noise is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2008 in Dubai, located in Warehouse 24 of Alserkal Avenue. The gallery is distinguished by its highly selective, carefully curated roster of artists and its commitment to experimental, conceptual, and cross-disciplinary artistic practice. Rather than seeking broad geographical representation, Grey Noise prioritises artists who demonstrate a defined and rigorous conceptual premise in their work — regardless of their origin — resulting in a programme of unusual intellectual consistency and depth. Artists represented include Caline Aoun, Ismaïl Bahri, Charbel-joseph H. Boutros, Fahd Burki, Joana Escoval, Shreyas Karle, Fazal Rizvi, and Stéphanie Saadé. Exhibitions at Grey Noise frequently engage with video, installation, performance, photography, and text, reflecting a commitment to forms of art-making that challenge conventional exhibition and viewing practices. The gallery participates in international art fairs and has contributed to establishing a serious discourse around experimental contemporary art within the Gulf region. It has also organised screenings, talks, and publications that deepen contextual understanding of its programme. Open Saturday to Thursday, 10am to 7pm. Grey Noise is one of the most rigorously independent and intellectually credible galleries in the Dubai art scene, essential for visitors with an interest in advanced contemporary practice.
