La Maison Arabe Cooking School

La Maison Arabe has been welcoming guests to its celebrated cooking school since the riad reopened as a hotel and restaurant in the 1990s. Located in the heart of Marrakech’s medina, the cooking school offers hands-on workshops where participants learn to prepare authentic Moroccan dishes in a beautifully restored traditional kitchen. Classes cover classic preparations including lamb and chicken tagines, couscous, bastilla, Moroccan salads and pastries, with expert chefs guiding participants through each technique. Sessions are open to hotel guests and outside visitors, making the experience accessible to anyone curious about Moroccan culinary heritage.

La Maison Arabe’s workshops are rated among the best in Marrakech on international review platforms, consistently praised for the quality of instruction, the warmth of the setting and the flavour of the finished dishes. Private sessions can be arranged for families, couples and corporate groups. Workshops are conducted in French and English and typically last around two to three hours, finishing with a shared meal of the prepared dishes.
