Oikos – Organic Norway

Oikos – Organic Norway is the national membership organization for the organic movement in Norway, bringing together consumers, farmers, food businesses, and sustainability advocates committed to organic food and farming. Based in Oslo, Oikos works to increase awareness and adoption of organic products and practices among Norwegian consumers and producers. The organization serves as a platform for advocacy, education, and community building around organic food, sustainable agriculture, and ecological living. Oikos engages with policymakers to promote regulatory frameworks that support the growth of the organic sector, and participates in international organic networks through membership in IFOAM. The organization publishes information about organic farming, food labeling, and sustainable consumption, helping consumers make more informed choices. Through its activities, Oikos supports the development of a vibrant and economically viable organic sector that benefits farmers, consumers, and the environment alike. The organization also coordinates the Økoløft program, which supports farmers in transitioning to organic production.
