DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) Renewables

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is Dubai’s primary utility and a major driver of renewable energy development in the UAE. Through its Clean Energy division, DEWA is developing the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which upon completion will be the largest single-site solar park in the world with a planned capacity of 5,000 MW. DEWA’s renewable energy strategy aims to provide 75% of Dubai’s total power from clean energy sources by 2050 as part of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy. The authority also invests in green hydrogen, advanced energy storage, and smart grid technologies to enable a fully integrated and reliable clean energy system. DEWA’s large-scale solar commitments have attracted record-low solar tariff bids, demonstrating Dubai’s competitive position in global renewable energy markets.
