Yomiuriland Pool WAI

Yomiuriland Pool WAI is the seasonal outdoor waterpark component of Yomiuriland, one of Tokyo’s most prominent amusement parks, situated across the Tama Hills in Inagi, Tokyo, accessible from Shinjuku in approximately 30 minutes by train. Open from late June to mid-September, Pool WAI features five distinct pool areas, eight water slides, and a 250-metre lazy river that can be enjoyed on rubber rings. The Giant Sky River is the headline attraction — a 386-metre slide from a 25-metre high platform navigated in four-person rubber boats. The Anpanman-themed children’s pool caters specifically to younger visitors, while the Wai-Wai Jungle interactive water playground, opened in 2023, features over 70 water-play elements including water guns, fountains, and dump buckets. The park also offers a limited-period illuminated night pool on select evenings during the season, transforming the space into a lively after-dark experience. Online booking is cheaper than purchasing on the day, and a combined ticket with the full Yomiuriland amusement park is available for international visitors. Tattoos, including temporary ones, are prohibited.
