Michel Sarran

Michel Sarran is one of Toulouse’s most celebrated and distinctive fine dining restaurants, led by chef Michel Sarran, a household name in French gastronomy well known to audiences of the long-running television competition Top Chef. Holding one Michelin star, the restaurant occupies a beautiful private mansion in Toulouse where Sarran has created an atmosphere that he describes as more of a home than a restaurant — an intimate and welcoming space in which guests are treated with genuine warmth and personal attention. The cuisine is characterised by the chef’s roots in the Gers département and his passion for the sun-drenched flavours of South-West France: seasonal ingredients, generous technique, and a confident use of spices, marinades, and confits that occasionally incorporate influences from further afield — the Maghreb, Asia, and the Caribbean. The menu is single and seasonal, allowing the kitchen to focus its full attention on the quality and expression of every dish. The wine list has particular strength in South-West French appellations.
