Bord Bia

Bord Bia is the Irish Food Board, a state agency responsible for promoting and developing markets for Irish food, drink, and horticulture products. Based in Dublin, Bord Bia supports Irish food and drink businesses in accessing markets around the world, representing the Irish agri-food sector at international trade events and providing market intelligence, business development support, and brand promotion. Bord Bia is internationally recognized for its Origin Green sustainability program, the world’s first independently verified national sustainability program for the food and drink industry. Origin Green engages thousands of Irish farms and hundreds of food and drink manufacturers in setting and achieving measurable sustainability targets related to greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, water quality, biodiversity, and social responsibility. The program provides verified sustainability credentials that help Irish food exporters differentiate their products in premium global markets. Bord Bia also manages the Quality Assurance schemes that underpin the sustainability and quality standards of Irish beef, dairy, and other products.
