The Third Line

The Third Line is one of Dubai’s most celebrated and internationally active contemporary art galleries, founded in 2005 with a clear mission to represent contemporary artists from the Middle East and its diaspora at the highest levels of the global art world. Over two decades of consistent, ambitious programming, the gallery has become a defining platform for established and emerging voices from the region, representing artists including Farah Al Qasimi, Hayv Kahraman, Hassan Hajjaj, Rana Begum, Jordan Nassar, Slavs and Tatars, and Sophia Al Maria, among others. Located in Warehouse 78 of Alserkal Avenue, the gallery combines a vigorous exhibition programme with catalogues, art book publishing, artist talks, and active participation in major international fairs including Art Basel, Frieze, and the Armory Show. Works by represented artists are held in the collections of leading global institutions. The Third Line has also launched a dedicated bookstore and library space as an extension of its commitment to knowledge-sharing and cultural discourse. Open Monday to Sunday, 11am to 7pm, making it one of the few galleries in the district with seven-day access. An essential and enduring presence in contemporary art from the Arabian Gulf region.
