La Pergola is Rome’s crown jewel of gastronomy and the only restaurant in the Eternal City to hold three Michelin stars, a distinction it has maintained for decades under the stewardship of celebrated German chef Heinz Beck. Located on the top floor of the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria hotel on Monte Mario, the restaurant commands breathtaking panoramic views across the city, encompassing the illuminated dome of Saint Peter’s Basilica and the ancient rooftops of Rome below. Chef Beck, one of the most decorated chefs in Italy, has led the kitchen since 1994 and is renowned for his ability to combine the finest Mediterranean and Italian ingredients with genius creativity, classical technique, and an unwavering commitment to balance and harmony.
