AMEE (Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency)

AMEE, the Agence Marocaine pour l’Efficacite Energetique, is Morocco’s public agency dedicated to promoting energy efficiency and the development of renewable energy solutions across public and private sectors. Based in Rabat, the agency designs and implements programs aimed at reducing national energy consumption, encouraging the adoption of clean energy technologies, and improving the country’s overall energy productivity. AMEE provides technical assistance, awareness campaigns, and regulatory support to help businesses, municipalities, and households transition to more sustainable energy practices. The agency works in partnership with national ministries, regional authorities, and international development organizations to build capacity, define energy efficiency standards, and monitor progress toward Morocco’s energy and climate targets.
