Restaurant Labyrinth is a one-of-a-kind dining destination in Singapore, dedicated to preserving, reinterpreting, and celebrating the full breadth of the city-state’s culinary heritage. Helmed by self-taught Chef LG Han, a former banker turned passionate advocate for Singapore’s food culture, Labyrinth offers tasting menus that are as interactive and playful as they are technically accomplished. Located inside Esplanade Mall at Marina Bay Promenade, the restaurant’s dramatic black interior is defined by razor-sharp lighting and intimate table settings. Chef Han’s menus change every two months and are built entirely around locally sourced seasonal ingredients, many of them rescued from Singapore’s disappearing culinary traditions. Familiar dishes from hawker culture, such as chilli crab, Hokkien mee, and kaya toast, are completely reimagined through modern technique, specialist ingredients, and Chef Han’s personal memories. Wild local crab, duck liver, and heritage vegetables feature prominently, and the kitchen has championed sustainability through partnerships with local farms. Props, custom packaging, and dramatic presentation add an experiential dimension to every meal. Labyrinth has held its Michelin star continuously since 2018 and was ranked No. 11 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2023. The service team is knowledgeable, warm, and deeply invested in sharing the stories behind every dish.
