Home Cooking New York
Descrizione
Home Cooking New York was founded in 2002 by Jennifer Clair, a food editor and cookbook author with a background at Martha Stewart Living, The Wall Street Journal, and Saveur magazine. The school operates from a purpose-built teaching kitchen in the SoHo neighbourhood of Manhattan, at 158 Grand Street, and is widely regarded as one of New York City’s most welcoming and educational culinary experiences. Classes are limited to a maximum of ten students, ensuring an intimate and genuinely hands-on experience where every participant spends time at the stove and cutting board throughout the session. The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, from essential technique-based classes such as Knife Skills, Six Basic Cooking Techniques, How to Cook Fish, and Culinary Boot Camp to cuisine-focused workshops in Northern Italian, French Bistro, Thai, Indian, Korean, and Middle Eastern cooking. Every session culminates in a full sit-down meal shared by the class and includes a complete recipe packet. Home Cooking New York also offers private events and corporate team-building sessions, kids and teens programmes, and virtual cooking classes. The school has earned over 2,000 consistently glowing reviews from students who describe it as one of the most educational and enjoyable cooking experiences in New York.
